Alaska is composed of numerous hills and mountains that are fascinating to tourists, as well as to the people that surround them. Many people travel great distances to hike the mountains or just to experience the beauty Alaska has to offer. For good reason, Alaska is considered "The Last Frontier."

The beautiful, mighty Mt. Mckinley, or Denali as it is called by the locals, is offers several great outdoor experiences. It stands 20,320 feet and is the highest peak in North America. The name Denali means "High One" and is the original name given to the peak by the Native Athabascan people. There are also other places around the state that offer great hiking experiences, such as the Alaskan or Brooks Mountain Range.

Bush life in Alaska is an extreme way of living. Most people that live in the bush want to live their own unique lifestyle undisturbed by outside influences. Many people in the bush have different religious beliefs, want to live a "simplier" lifestyle, or desire to practice the subsistance lifestyle of their ancestors.
